Do you ever sit around thinking, "I should..." but don't?
Here's why you (and I) get stuck in "shoulds":
When we step into "doing," we sign up for
✔ focusing on one thing to the exclusion of others that also seem appealing
✔ risking failure, embarrassment, or rejection
✔ using our full, concentrated brain power, which may feel overwhelming
✔setting aside our preference for ease, fun, and comfort
We anticipate that "doing" will be arduous.
Instead,
❓ What if we thought about how we will feel when we successfully complete the task?
❓ What if we predicted positive outcomes and feedback?
❓ What if we stopped thinking about, studying, reading, and wishing something was accomplished - or worse, envying that someone else did it - and took one small action?
